What Will My Superstar Need To Bring?
We operate a strict no nuts or fizzy drink policy:
Swim wear, swim cap and towel - ages 5+
Packed lunch – full day children
Snacks for multiple breaks throughout the day
Plenty of water
Trainers, rain jacket (outdoor venue), suitable clothing for indoor and outdoor play, suitable footwear for both indoor and outdoor play
Medication AND permission slip – if necessary - we canot administer any medication without a permission slip
A big smile on their face....do not worry if they do not come with this, we will ensure they leave with one 😬
We operate a very strict policy whereby all parents must provide us with a permission slip to supervise / administer any medication or medical device to your Superstar. If you fail to provide us with this, we will be unable to do so and you will be called to the camp.

MESSAGE FROM SUPERSTAR CAMPZ REGARDING COVID-19
We were delighted with how our summer holiday camp went for 5 weeks during July and August! With only 3 weeks to prepare for it, we managed to ensure the camp was Covid "secure and safe" whilst making sure that the Superstars in attendance had a blast. We had 1,038 visits across 5 weeks, and 0 cases. This was down to the thoroughness of our team and having the right plans in place to keep everyone safe, including our camp leaders.
This October we are back again, with more experience surrounding the Covid situation, and we cannot wait to welcome you back.
Check out the info below to find out how our camps will look with COVID-19 guidance in place. We hope to make your October Half Term a Super enjoyable one where everyone can forget about the outside world, even if its just for a day 🙂
WHY AREN'T YOU OPEN THIS OCTOBER as normal FOR CHILDREN IN NURSERY SCHOOL?
We have had to re plan the way our days look and we have taken the decision not to open for any child who is NOT currently in school year Reception (heading into year 1 in September). We are sorry for the inconvenience. If your child is in school year Reception but will still only be 4 years old by the time their camp booking starts, you can only book a morning slot with us 9.15am-12.15pm.
WILL CAMPS RUN IN LINE WITH GOVERNMENT GUIDANCE?
Yes! Our camps are only allowed to run with guidance from the government. The Department of Education has released full info for OFSTED registered providers. We also expect these to be further updated prior to the summer holiday starting and we will of course let you know of any changes.
WHAT ACTIVITIES AREN'T GOING TO RUN DUE TO RESTRICTIONS?
There will be no trampolining due to venue change.
All other activities will be available. We will have to adapt our games in order to comply with government guidance, but we still guarantee all of the awesome Super fun we usually have 🤩
HOW WILL THE GROUPS LOOK? WILL THERE BE SMALL BUBBLES AS THE SCHOOLS ARE USING?
Yes. At present we will be placing children into small groups of up to 15 children. The government advises that we can have groups of up to 15 children, but where possible we will have slightly smaller groups. We have an extra leader on hand so that we can have 4 groups instead of the 3 groups we usually have. + a camp manager who is spare all day. Each group will have the same leader for the day / week, and we will not allow for groups to mix throughout the day. We will endeavour to keep friends together and even siblings if the age ranges are similar.
ARE WE REQUIRED TO WEAR FACE MASKS AND GLOVES AT CAMP?
No. We will have PPE equipment available but this will only be used whilst giving first aid or when spending time inside one on one with a child e.g. if they fall ill. The government does not advise wearing PPE all day and says it is counter productive.
We do however, advise all parents to wear a face mask when dropping off and collecting their child.
HOW WILL EQUIPMENT BE SHARED AND USED?
Equipment will be wiped down and cleaned in-between activities.
All equipment will also go through a thorough cleaning process at the start and end of each day.
WILL ACTIVITIES TAKE PLACE OUTSIDE?
We aim to have our activities on the playground and field as much as possible and where weather allows. When the weather is very bad, we have access to the sports hall and also classrooms.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD FALLS IN WITH SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19
Whilst we will take extra precautions to prevent this from happening, we of course cannot guarantee anything, such is the nature of the virus.. If your child does fall ill with symptoms, they will be taken to our medical room and looked after until you come to pick them up. We will ask you to pick up your child immediately.
As part of the government Track and Trace system, your child will need to take a NHS test, and if tests positive, the entire group and leader they have come in contact with will need to self isolate (which is why we are keeping the groups small). All parents in this group will be informed. By booking with us, you are giving your permission for your details to be shared for these matters only.
These are unprecedented times so we will be offering credit for future camps for any child who has to self isolate due to COVID-19. All we will require is a doctors / NHS document to prove illness.
We do not expect this to happen but we have to make you aware of the worst case scenario.

Who runs the swimming activities?
We use an outside provider that we have worked with for a long time, Dip'nDive Swimschool. Denis and his team are awesome teachers!
How do the swimming activities work?
Children each day upon registration are asked if they would like to go swimming. We then arrange them into groups based on their ability (dont't worry, we ask you how well they can swim) where the activites are planned according to ability and age.
What if my Superstar does not want to swim?
Not to worry! During swimming time, there is more than one activity going. This may be a football tournament and even bouncy castle time.
A strict policy to help us all
We operate a very strict collection policy.
Hold ups do of course happen and we are mindful of this, however the following rules apply.
All children must be picked up by the time they are booked for e.g. 12.15pm for tots day, 4pm for normal day and 5.30pm for extended day.
4PM COLLECTION If your child is booked in with us until 4pm, please arrive promptly to collect them. Should you be any later than 10 minutes to collect, you will be charged a late pick up fee of £5 for up to every 15 minutes you are late. You do of course have the option if you know you are going to be late to extend to 5.30pm collection on the day for £6. We can do this for you at our end if you let us know.
5.30PM COLLECTION If your child is booked in with us until 5.30pm, please arrive promptly to collect them. Should you be any later than 5.30 to collect, you will be charged a late pick up fee of £20 for up to every 15 minutes you are late. This is to cover the cost of our staff members staying with your child and any additional venue hire costs we incur. For example if you arrive at 5.45pm you would be charged £20, if you are later than this up to it would be £40.
Please Note: If you have not colleced your child by 6pm and we canot get hold of you or any emergency contacts you have provided, we will call social services and take their advice.
We reserve the right to refuse future bookings from parents who continually pick up late or if they fail to make the payment of the charge.
OFSTED and Childcare Vouchers
Are you OFSTED registered?
Yes we are! We are registered on the voluntary register! Yipee 🎉
What are your age range rulings?
As we are on the voluntary register, we are only allowed to have our SuperTots with us for the morning 9.15-12.15pm. Ages 5+ are allowed to do full days and extended days as well as half days 😋
What are your leader to children ratios?
Across the board at our camps, we work to a 1:10 ratio, with our staff being split to necessary age groups accordingly. We will also have a spare leader as well as this. So if there are 40 children at our camp at any given time, we will always have a minimum of 5 leaders 👍
Do you accept childcare vouchers as a method of payment?
Yes we do indeed! You can find all of our voucher numbers on our bookings page (hit the button below). Can't see your provider on there? Just let us know and we will get that added for you 😉
Payments and Cancellations
Things can change, that's why we are here to help 💙
We offer a 10% sibling discount on your 2nd and subsequent child bookings which is automatically applied at the checkout
No bookings are secure without payment and failure to make payment upon booking will result in your booking being automatically cancelled within 2 working days
If using childcare vouchers as a method of payment, you must send us an email with a screenshot of your payment to firstname.lastname@example.org. Failing to do so could lead to your booking being cancelled within the two working day booking window.
Cancellations and Changes to bookings
You are able to change your booking 14 days prior to our camp start date free of charge, subject to availability. Any changes after this date are subject to availability and if we are able to change for you, this will incur a £10 amendment fee which must be made upon request. We are unable to make any changes with 5 days or less notice.
We are unable to issue refunds, credit or day swaps for any missed days unless in the event of an injury or illness. If your Superstar is unable to attend due to illness or injury, you must provide us with a doctors letter in order for us to process a credit note for you for a future camp.
Should you pay via childcare vouchers and wish to swap your days or weeks, we will hold this as credit for you and apply it to your next booking with us.

What if my child doesn’t know anyone there?
No problem! Part of our make up is to ensure new friends are made and we actively promote great social interaction amongst the children through group work and team games. New friends will be made!
I do not want to commit to a whole week, what can i do?
We have just the thing! You can book individual days across our camps and you can even book half days if you wish to!
I am worried about being late for work...
Don’t be! Our team are on site and ready to start signing in your Superstar from 8.30am to ensure you get to work on time! This now applies to all age groups - complimentary with all full & extended day bookings, addiional £3 for our SuperTots.
My child isn’t very good at swimming or sports is this a problem?
No not at all! You’re in the right place! Our super cool swimming teachers organise structured swimming lessons and activities where your Superstar can learn to swim. The games we play during our sports activities are structured in a way that allows your Superstar to enjoy, discover, learn and improve. All abilities welcome!
Is there on site parking?
Please see the venue notes on our bookings page for specific parking notes. Thomas More has free onsite parking, Waddon LC has paid parking, and Thornton Heath LC has parking in surrounding roads.
I am worried about the safeguarding of my child...
All of our coaches are DBS checked and go through extensive training to ensure that best practices are being used during the days. We are experienced in having 50 children per day in our care, we are OFSTED registered, and have an outstanding reputation throughout the Croydon borough.
